A big THANK YOU goes out to our friends at Sybex/Wiley for sending me a copy of this book. I have used previous editions of this book for my Arch 223 class at Cerritos College and for our clients who ask, “What book do you recommend?” I was very impressed with the writing team and I was hoping to see them publish the 2011 edition. But Wiley went in another direction.
This 2011 edition has a new writing team and as a result the book was completely revamped; I’m equally impressed….again! I’ve known Read & Vandezande through my dealings running a previous company. These guys are down to earth and it’s as real as it gets with them. There are several self-proclaimed “Revit Rockstars” in this business, but honestly this writing team are the TRUE Revit Rockstars.
This book covers Revit Architecture from their professional experiences running various projects. This book covers many aspects beyond design. The guys also explore other topics such as Revit for Construction, Revit for Fabrication, Revit & Virtualization, Revit for Film & Stage, and Revit and Cloud Computing. These topics will definitely have an impact on our business.
These guys know what they’re talking about. This is the must have book for Revit Architecture 2011. I plan to use this book as one of the textbooks for my class. I have already recommended this book as a reference book to several of my clients that we work with at Titan AEC. Architecture and Engineering Firms should add this to their library. We already have!
