Caltech Bechtel Residence

Caltech Bechtel Residence, located on the northeast side of campus, gave Caltech the opportunity to house all undergraduates on campus. This project contains suites to sleep 196, 16 single-student bedrooms, five kitchen and lounge areas, four common areas with study rooms, six laundry rooms, a dining facility, a large centered courtyard and a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Exteriors are architectural concrete. TITAN AEC was called in to validate shop drawings and create a building information model (BIM) for various trade subcontractors who are non-compliant to the project's BIM execution plan and requirements.  Through our collaborative BIM process with the construction project managers, Matt Construction was able to mitigate a significant amount of risk in the construction process.
